Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has congratulated his Bayelsa State counterpart, Governor Duoye Diri, on his inauguration for a second term in office.

Fielding questions from Pressmen shortly after the ceremony which was held at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenogoa, Bayelsa State, Governor Eno lauded Governor Diri’s statemanship and all-inclusive disposition describing his victory and subsequent inauguration as a milestone achievement.

These, he said, were obvious in the array of personalities across party lines at the event, which included : Vice President Kashim Shettima, Kwara State Governor and Chairman Nigeria Governor’s Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

“For Governor Diri, the presence of the calibre of people you saw here today testifies eloquently to the kind of person he is. He is a man of peace. So we wish him well in his second term,” the governor said.

Governor Eno advocated for an all-inclusive leadership approach where political biases are eschewed to enhance national development.

In his words, “If you observe, you see that we are working together as a team. I think that’s the only way to build this country. We should strive to work across party lines and find a common solution to the problems facing our nation rather than throwing blames at people.”
