President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Friday, November 6, 2026, embark on a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers States, during which he will commission several landmark projects executed by the administration of Governor Umo Eno and participate in political rallies.

According to a statement issued on Thursday, November 5, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu will begin the visit in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where he is expected to commission major infrastructure projects and attend a political rally.

The projects scheduled for commissioning include the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located within the Victor Attah International Airport. Others are the Airport-Okopedi Road, which traverses Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, and Ring Road 3, connecting Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.

The President will also commission the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort, among other projects.

To ensure a memorable reception for the President, Governor Umo Eno has declared Friday a work-free day across Akwa Ibom State, allowing residents to participate in the historic visit.

After his engagements in Akwa Ibom, President Tinubu will proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, November 7, to participate in the All Progressives Congress, APC, political rally. The rally will be his third since the commencement of his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
