Representing the National President of NAFOWA, Mrs. Ngozi Aneke, members of the Association conveyed heartfelt condolences to the affected families and assured them of its commitment to standing by them during the difficult period.

NAFOWA described the incident as a painful loss to the Nigerian Air Force family, the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the nation at large.

“This is a profoundly painful moment for the entire Nigerian Air Force family, the Armed Forces of Nigeria, the wider Nigerian nation and people everywhere who recognise the value of every human life,” the Association said.

The Association noted that it shared in the grief of the families and acknowledged the emotional challenges of coping with the loss of their loved ones.

It further reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare and humanitarian needs of military families, emphasising that its support would extend beyond the immediate period of mourning.

According to NAFOWA, particular attention would be given to the welfare of the spouses and children left behind by the victims to help them navigate the difficult period and its lasting consequences.

The condolence visits complement ongoing efforts by the Nigerian Air Force leadership to provide assistance and support to families affected by the crash.

As investigations into the incident continue, NAFOWA prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed and called for sustained institutional care for the bereaved families.

The Association stressed the importance of continued compassion, solidarity and practical assistance to help the affected families cope with their loss and rebuild their lives.
