Impressed by the achievements governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom state which includes the payment of over 100 billion of inherited pension and gratuities, Pensioners in Akwa Ibom state have earmarked October 30th 2026 for massive endorsement of the governor for a second term in office.
The chairman of the Akwa Ibom state chapter of Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP) Pastor Sylvester O. Nkodo and secretary Obong Cosmos M. Essien in a statement made available to journalists on Sunday in Uyo also revealed that the governor will be given Award of Excellence for his gigantic achievements across various sectors of the state.
The Duo revealed that the entire Pensioners in the state were overwhelmed by the governor’s magnanimity in pioritising the welfare of senior citizens who toiled hard for the development of the state.
The statement directs all Pensioners to be seated at Ibom hall ground by 8am on 30th October 2026 in readiness of what they described as the mother of all endorsements.
