Federal Capital Territory, FCT Football Association chairman Adam Mouktar Mohammed has entered the race for NFF Chairman of Chairmen, ahead of the federation’s elective congress scheduled for  September 27 in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Mouktar is contesting on the strength of his tenure at the FCT FA, where his administration has overseen a reorganisation of the FCT League, introduction of an U-15 competition, and renovation of facilities including the Area 3 and Area 10 pitches. The league reportedly grew to 68 clubs in 2021.

His record also includes the FCT FA’s first Women’s Inter-Area Councils Football Tournament in 2025, and recognition from the Nigeria National League for his support of grassroots football. The federation’s early programmes included a partnership with Bayern Munich on coaching development.

Campaigning under the slogan “Experience. Integrity. Vision,” Mouktar is pitching himself as a consensus-builder capable of representing the collective interests of the State Football Associations at national level. The Chairman of Chairmen role coordinates the voice of state FA chairmen within NFF structures.
Delegates will decide the contest at the Lafia congress in September.
