The Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement, Rep. Unyime Idem, Ph.D, has been honoured with the Outstanding Legislative Impact Award on Representation and Grassroots Empowerment.
The award is coming from Inspiration 105.9 FM, at its 10th Anniversary Ceremony, held in Uyo.
According to the General Manager of Inspiration FM, Mr. Silas Ufot, the award bestowed on the federal lawmaker, is in recognition of his stellar representation of the people of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency at the National Assembly and his unwavering commitment to grassroots development.
Mr. Ufot established that Idem’s representation in the House of Representatives has been characterized by a vibrant and purposeful legislative agenda that resonates deeply with the aspirations of the people of Akwa Ibom State and Nigerians at large.
Reading the Lawmaker’s citation, Inspiration FM highlighted the lawmaker’s effective representation, remarkable delivery of constituency projects, extensive empowerment programmes, and his growing profile as a national leader dedicated to advancing good governance and inclusive development.
Represented by the immediate past Executive Chairman of Ukanafun Local Government Council, Hon. Godwin Inyieng, Ph.D., the federal lawmaker expressed gratitude to the management of Inspiration FM for finding him worthy of the honour, describing the recognition as a testament to his modest efforts in improving the lives of his constituents through people-oriented legislation, infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment, and responsive leadership.
