CBS Radio Network, Akwa Ibom State’s first online radio network, will commence full 24-hour operations tomorrow, Thursday, May 29th, 2026.
In a statement released today, the station’s Head of Operations, Mr. Cosmos Akpan, said entertaining programmes, news and current affairs, and commercial broadcasts will begin in earnest from launch day.
Mr. Akpan disclosed that the station’s programming will focus primarily on Akwa Ibom content, with *60% local programming, 25% national content, and 15% foreign content*, ensuring a balance that reflects both local identity and global perspectives.
According to him, CBS Radio Network is positioned to serve as the most convenient access to radio for the people of Akwa Ibom State and beyond.

CBS Radio Network was founded by Dr. Charles Bassey, a veteran broadcast journalist from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
