The Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and other political parties to prioritize the peace, unity and overall interest of the State ahead of the forthcoming 2027 elections primaries.
Governor Eno gave the charge Monday, May 11, 2026, while fielding questions from Government House Correspondents at the Victor Attah International Airport on his arrival after a successful screening ahead of the APC Governorship primaries.
He said prioritising the peace and unity of the State above every other considerations will bring progress and development.
“Ahead of the Primaries, we should keep the peace, we should keep the unity of the State. I believe that for the peace of our State, nothing is too much to sacrifice. No ground is too much to shift so that we can continue to maintain and consolidate on the peace.
“So please let us approach the Primaries with decorum. Let us understand that in all of these, our State remains after politics,” he said.
