Akwa United have won the 2026 Akwa Ibom State Federation Cup.
Akwa United defeated Godswill Akpabio FC 5-4 on penalties at the Uyo Township Stadium.
The game ended goalless in regulation time.
The Promise Keepers shot stopper Okechukwu Johnson saved three spot kicks to help his side lift the trophy. Akwa United have won the title 18 times.
Akwa United and runners-up Godswill Akpabio FC will represent Akwa Ibom State in the 2026 President Federation Cup.
