The United States, US, President Trump delivered a blunt warning to ABC’s Rachel Scott: the US-Israel campaign against Iran will wrap up fast, but failure to strike a deal means unleashing hell with almost nothing held back.
“If it happens, it happens. And if it doesn’t, we’re blowing up the whole country,” Trump said.
He slashed his earlier two-to-three-week estimate dramatically. “It should be days, not weeks,” Trump told Scott. “It should be wrapped up in days because no sane group of people could stand the punishment that’s going to rain down on them if it’s not.”
On potential targets, Trump left little doubt about his resolve. When asked if anything was off limits, he replied: “Very little.”
Trump made clear Iran is already feeling unprecedented heat. “They’re getting the shit beat out of them,” he said. “There’s been no country that’s ever taken a pounding like that.”
Ground troops remain unlikely for now, but Trump isn’t closing the door. “I don’t think it’s necessary but I don’t rule anything out.”
He expressed deep skepticism about Iranian negotiators. “I have no idea with these people,” Trump said, noting the regime faces a simple choice: deal or total destruction. “They have plenty of time to make a deal. If they don’t want to make a deal — their whole country is gone.”
Trump also revealed he used the conflict to test NATO’s backbone, calling the alliance a “paper tiger” with “no ships” and “no nothing.” “This was a test for NATO, I didn’t need them, but I wanted to test them,” he said. “Putin has zero fear of them.”
The no-nonsense message comes as American and Israeli strikes hammer Iranian infrastructure and the Strait of Hormuz faces disruption. Trump is sending a clear signal to Tehran: fold now or face consequences that end the regime’s ability to threaten the region or the world.
Weakness invites aggression. Trump’s direct approach shows strength and a willingness to finish the job decisively, protecting American interests without endless entanglement.
