The National Association of Nsit Ibom Students, University of Uyo, Chapter, has inaugurated it’s new executive for the next one year.
The official inauguration ceremony, was held at the Discovery Park arena along Udo Umana Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Those sworn in were the President, Comrade Ambrose Ime Ime who took over the mantle of leadership from Comrade Dennis Asuquo.

Other newly Inaugurated officers were: Joseph Abasifreke, Secretary General; Etingeti Ntuen, Women Leader; Thomas Owoidoho as Treasurer; Samuel Anietie, Financial Secretary and Oduduabasi Udeme as Director of Information.
After taking Oath Of Office administered by James Anietie Esq, the new president of the Association, Comrade Ime Ime, in his inaugural address promised a new dawn for the students from Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State in the University.
The President pledged to lead by example and to deliver a purposeful leadership during his tenure.
Comrade Ime Ime seized the opportunity to dissolved all previously existing protocols and leadership structures of the Association, saying that this act is to establish a fresh and transparent administration.
The new leadership emphasized unity, accountability, and service to the student community, assuring members that his government will operate with openness and fairness.
The event, which was attended by Nsit Ibom students of the university, marked a significant transition and set the tone for a purposeful and progressive tenure.
Students expressed optimism for improved representation, stronger welfare efforts, and development-focused leadership.
