The Cross River State-owned airline, CALLY AIR, has acquired two Bombardier jets for operation, under a new lease deal with AFG Aviation Ireland.
The aircraft, recently acquired from Regional One, will be operated by ValueJet, which will handle daily flights under its own operating license.
AFG Aviation’s CEO, Christian Nuehlen, said the agreement marks a big step for the company in Africa and a boost for Cally Air’s expansion. The modern, fuel-efficient jets are expected to improve domestic travel and open new West African routes.

According to AFG’s commercial team, the deal also shows strong confidence in Nigeria’s fast-growing aviation sector and its role in boosting tourism and trade across the region.
