AKISAN, USA, Holds 38th National Convention, August 7-10, 5-Person Delegation to Represent the State

The Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, AKISAN USA holds her 38th National Convention in the United States of America, USA, with the Akwa Ibom Governor Pastor Umo Eno as the special guest of honour.
However, the Akwa Ibom Commissioner for information, Hon. Aniekan Umanah, says Governor Umo Eno, due to pressing official engagements, will not be attending the AKISAN Convention personally. Instead, he has nominated a lean five person delegation to represent the State, reflecting the administration’s commitment to prudence, responsibility, and focused governance.
According to the programme outline released by the President of the Association, Engr Dr Mbong Ekiko, and viewed in Uyo, the four-day events will commence on Thursday, August 7, 2025 and climaxed with a Thanksgiving service on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Events earmarked for the celebration include:
AKISAN golf opening ceremony, AKISAN Ibom Pride Award, and Welcome Reception on the first day.
On Friday, AKISAN business/investors and wealth management summit; business meetings/cultural night/Beauty Pageant. Other events for the day are: Akwa Ibom Language, Cultural Dance and AKISAN GOT Talent competitions.
On Saturday, AKISAN East Coast will play against West Coast featuring basketball and table tennis tournaments. There will also be AKISAN women, youth, kids technological and innovation summits later in the day.
Same day, a town hall meeting is expected to hold with the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, followed by fund raising dinner and banquet night.
The event will be arounded up on Sunday, August 10, with a Thanksgiving service.
Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, USA Inc., AKISAN, USA is a non-profit organization based in the United States of America, which promotes the interests of the citizens of Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria both in the homeland and the diaspora.
The organization also works to preserve and celebrate the culture and heritage of Akwa Ibom State.
