The Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has directed the immediate employment of Barr. Udeme Ekanem, a visually impaired law graduate recently called to the Nigerian Bar.
The Governor gave the directive, today, July 16, 2025, during the commissioning of the 10.412km Road from Idoro in Uyo LGA to Abak, in Abak LGA.
Governor Eno announced that Barr. Ekanem’s appointment into the State Civil Service is with effect from August 1, 2025. He directed the Head of Civil Service to immediately facilitate all necessary processes to ensure a seamless engagement.
Ekanem, a graduate of the University of Uyo, was supported by the Governor with a ₦5 million education grant in 2023 to attend the Nigerian Law School.
