The Executive Chairman of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Otobong Aaron, was today, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, presented with a Certificate of Credence on Leadership and Good Governance by the Coalition of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria. The event, held in the conference room of the Nsit Ibom Local Government Council, marked a significant recognition of her exceptional performance in local governance.
Speaking during the presentation, the National Secretary of the Coalition, Comrade Caleb Ude, expressed the organisation’s satisfaction with the outcome of its independent, on-the-spot assessment of local government administrations across the country. He commended Rt. Hon. Aaron for her outstanding strides in agriculture, education, healthcare, human capital development, and infrastructure within and beyond the council area.
Comrade Ude also acknowledged the Chairman’s alignment with the development blueprint of Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno, particularly in executing projects that directly impact the lives of the people.
“We are pleased with what we saw during our assessment in Nsit Ibom. The Executive Chairman is one of the few performing Chairmen who have clearly demonstrated what effective and people-centred leadership should look like,” he stated.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Council Chairman, the Director of Works, Engr. Samuel Umana, conveyed Rt. Hon. Aaron’s appreciation to the organisation for recognising her efforts without any prior solicitation. He noted that the award would serve as motivation for the Chairman to intensify efforts in delivering quality governance.
“This recognition is not only humbling but encouraging. It assures us that the work we are doing in Nsit Ibom is being seen. The Chairman remains committed to raising the standard of leadership and service delivery in our communities,” Engr. Umana said.
The highpoint of the occasion was the formal presentation of the Certificate of Credence, signifying national recognition for Rt. Hon. Otobong Aaron’s leadership and developmental strides.
