FRSC Gets ISO Recertification For Quality Service

Wednesday May 14, 2025 |

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has been recertified for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standards in Road Safety Administration and Traffic Management.

This was announced in a statement on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

The recertification, conducted by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, followed a successful audit of FRSC’s processes and procedures by a team of system auditors.

The statement said the achievement reaffirmed the FRSC’s status as a leading public institution conforming to global best practices in service delivery.

FRSC was first certified on March 26, 2013, under the ISO 9001:2008 standards. It migrated to the updated ISO 9001:2015 standard on January 16, 2016, and has since sustained its certification with recertification milestones in 2019, 2022, and now 2025.

Corps marshal Shehu Mohammed described the latest recertification as a milestone reflecting the FRSC’s unwavering commitment to professionalism and quality service.

“As the first and only law enforcement agency in Africa to achieve this rare feat, this recertification is a milestone. It reflects the true disposition of the Corps as a determined organisation committed to attaining excellence in all aspects of its operations and service delivery,” he stated.

Mr Mohammed praised the dedication of FRSC personnel, noting that the achievement was a testament to their professionalism, coordination, and consistent work ethic.

He assured the motoring public that FRSC would sustain the standard through improved productivity, professionalism, and effective service delivery.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard is internationally recognised for ensuring organisations meet customer and regulatory requirements through effective quality management systems.
