A Nigerian journalist, Livinus Chibuike Victor, has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest interviewing marathon, clocking a 75-hour non-stop conversations in Abuja. The previous record, held by Clara Chizoba Kronborg, stood at 55 hours and 24 seconds.

For three days and three nights, Chibuike engaged in back-to-back interviews, surpassing the required 72 hours and 30 seconds to set a new benchmark of 75 hours.
His determination and endurance not only earned him a place in history but also highlighted the power of storytelling and dialogue in shaping national consciousness.
“I did not do it for fame,” Chibuike announced as soon as he finished his last session, tired but full of pride.
“I did it for all the voices that were not heard in Nigeria, for the power of stories, and to demonstrate to the world what Nigerian journalists are capable of doing.”
He said it was more than just an attempt to break a record.Throughout the record-breaking session, Livinus interviewed over 150 individuals, including politicians, captains of industry, entertainers, musicians, fellow journalists, and everyday Nigerians. Their stories—varied, heartfelt, and compelling—formed the backbone of the event’s emotional strength.
