The Nigerian Army troops have successfully repelled an attack by Boko Haram terrorists on a military checkpoint in Garkida, Gombi Local Government Area, Adamawa, ZAGAZOLA reports.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred in the early hours of March 15 at about 1:05 a.m. when insurgents launched an assault on the Iron Gate military checkpoint.

However, a swift response from the military, mobile police personnel on special duty, and local vigilantes forced the attackers to retreat.
