Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested eight trucks conveying suspected illegal solid minerals in Makurdi
They were arrested on Wednesday, at Katsina-ala Local Government Area of Benue State.
This was contained in a statement accompanied by photos shared on the EFCC Facebook page on Friday, March 14, 2025.
According to the statement, Solid minerals suspected to be fluorite and iron stones were recovered from the trucks.
The minerals were mined from some illegal mining sites in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The suspects will soon be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
