Lagos Police Identify Officers Seeking Tinted Glass Permit, Says FPRO

The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, on Sunday, January 28, addressed a viral video showing plainclothes individuals requesting a motorist’s tinted glass permit.

Adejobi said the policemen have been traced and identified and are undergoing investigation.

In the video, the men alighting from a white vehicle are heard asking the motorist for his car’s tinted permit.

The driver states, “It’s a factory tinted glass and I can’t remember the last time police asked me for a tinted permit because that was canceled two years ago.”

When asked about the police division, a voice responds, “We are from state CID Zone 2, V I here. Please, can you give me your tinted permit, sir?”

Reacting to the video on Sunday, Adejobi said, “These policemen have been traced to Zone 2 and identified. The AIG Zone 2 Lagos is investigating. While the PPRO Zone 2, Lagos will speak to it as soon as possible.
