Edo State governor, Monday Okpebholo, has approved the immediate suspension of the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Samson Osagie and the Chairman of the State Local Government Service Commission, Damian Lawani from office over allegations of “grave official and financial infractions”.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, said the Governor has ordered an investigative committee to probe the allegations.
“The suspension will enable the Government carry out thorough investigation into the allegations against them”, the statement added.
