FAAN Suspends Toll Collection At Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport To Ease Traffic

|TRANSPORTATION| The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced the suspension of toll collections and access gate fees at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

A public notice signed by FAAN’s management stated that the move is part of efforts to address the traffic challenges faced by road users.

The temporary measure, which began on January 24, 2025, will remain in effect until February 7, 2025.

“We deeply empathize with the inconvenience caused by the ongoing construction and remain committed to ensuring a smoother travel experience for all road users,” the statement read.

The suspension has been welcomed by commuters, frequent travellers, and airport workers, who have faced gridlock and delays due to the construction work.
