Breaking: Israel Strikes ‘Targets’ In Iran

Israel’s military says “conducting precise strikes on military targets in Iran,” it said in a statement early on Saturday local time, after reports emerged of explosions heard in Tehran.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the strikes are a response to Iran, which has been “relentlessly attacking” Israel since October 7th “on seven fronts – including direct attacks from Iranian soil.”

“Like every other sovereign country in the world, the State of Israel has the right and the duty to respond,” the statement added.

The IDF also warned that its “defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized.”

Earlier in October, Iran fired a barrage of missiles at Israel after the killing of Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah and others. The region has been bracing for Israel’s response for weeks.
