Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has expressed the confidence that if all hands are on deck, there will be enough food for people in the State and the country.
Governor Eno said this while inspecting the Nsit Ibom Local Government Area farm in the State, where he commended the council workers for the initiative.
As Governor Umo Eno was taken round to see the Nsit Ibom LGA farm at the premises of the Local Government Council secretariat, the Governor marveled at the ingenuity of the Chairman of the Transition Committee and encouraged others to follow suit.
He said his visit was to show practical support and encourage the “back to farm” initiative of his administration.
The Council Transition Committee Chairman, Deaconess Otobong Aaron pointed out the morale boosting effect of the Governor’s visit.
TheNewsDesk notes that agricultural development and food sufficiency are cardinal points in the ARISE agenda of the Governor Umo Eno’s administration in Akwa Ibom State, South South region of Nigeria.
