After Governor Umo Eno intervened to end the artificial fuel scarcity in Akwa Ibom, Premium Motor Spirit is now abundantly available in all fuel stations, without any queues.
Previously, many stations had closed, causing both a scarcity and a price hike in the state. This issue stemmed from a misunderstanding between product marketers and security agencies.
Governor Eno swiftly engaged with various petroleum marketing groups on Monday to address the crisis and ensure a return to normalcy, as confirmed by a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh.
Following this intervention, our reporter noted that all gas stations were operational and selling fuel at standard prices, marking the successful resolution of the crisis.
Residents like minibus driver, Ubong Okon Etuk praised the governor for his people-focused leadership, expressing relief that the fuel scarcity has been resolved, allowing for easy access to fuel.
Similarly, Imeobong Bassey, a barber, shared their gratitude towards Governor Eno for addressing the issue promptly, enabling businesses like theirs to thrive once again without the burden of increased fuel prices.
As the situation normalizes, residents are grateful for the swift action taken by Governor Umo Eno, which has restored access to fuel at regulated prices.
