Olympic Qualifier Return Leg: Nigeria’s Super Falcons vs Cameroonian Female Team, Today

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will play the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in the second leg of their 2024 Paris Olympic qualifier.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons were forced to settle for a goalless draw in the first leg of their 2024 Olympic qualifying match against Cameroon on Friday at the Reunification Stadium.

The Super Falcons were looking to get an advantage when they traveled to Douala for the first leg of their 2024 Women’s Football Olympic qualification match against Cameroon.

Coach Randy Waldrum rolled out a strong team that included players such as Asisat Oshoala, Ashleigh Plumptre, and Rasheedat Ajibade in the starting eleven.

However, Cameroon made a great start, using their home-field advantage to keep the Super Falcons at bay.

Nigeria are, however, confident they can overcome Cameroon’s challenge and qualify for the final round of the African qualification series for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament holding in France this year, with head coach Randy Waldrum and captain Rasheedat Ajibade leading the way.

After a goalless draw in their first game in Douala, both clubs will play again on Monday, February 26, 2024.

The winner will probably travel to Paris to face South Africa, the current African champs.

The Nigeria vs. Cameroon game is set to start at 4 p.m at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium, Abuja.
