The newly posted Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Waheed Ayilara, has given matching orders to criminals in the state to relocate or face the wrath of the law.
He also charged policemen in the state to be prepared for the task ahead, stating that there would be no room for indolence or corrupt practices.
The CP, who spoke during his maiden meeting with senior officers of the command, assured of his readiness to operate an open door policy and enhanced policing, warning that professionalism must be maintained while performing their duties.
He assured Akwa Ibom people of a satisfactory police service delivery while soliciting the co-operation of all for a more peaceful and safe Akwa Ibom State.
According to him, the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has clearly directed on how to tackle the task ahead with a mandate that insecurity must be eradicated in the country.
“We are here to carry out his directives to the letter. All hands must be on deck to deliver the goods to the people of Akwa Ibom.”
CP Ayilara takes over from Olatoye Durosinmi, who has been elevated as AIG Zone 2, Lagos.
