AFCON 2023: Osimhen Charges Super Eagles To Go For Title In Cote D’ivoire

Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen believes the Super Eagles have what it takes to emerge champions at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles last tasted success on the continent 10 years ago.

Osimhen charged his teammates to give their all at the upcoming tournament.

“The most important thing for us now is to go to Ivory Coast and win the tournament,” the 25-year-old declared at a dinner organised to celebrate his coronation as Africa’s best player at the team’s training base in Abu Dhabi on Friday night.

“I believe in this group, we have a bunch of talented players to execute the job, fingers crossed and we are going to do so well.”

Osimhen was top scorer in the qualifiers with 10 goals.

He will be participating in his second AFCON tournament after making his debut in 2019 in Egypt, where Nigeria finished third.
