The Akwa Ibom State Government is set to host the 2024 New Year Service, to re-dedicate the State to God and mark the commencement of a new year.
The Inter-denominational Service with the theme – “Arise and Shine” drawn from the book of Isaiah 60:1 is scheduled for Tuesday, 2nd January, 2024 at the International Worship Centre, Uyo, by 10am.
To enable civil servants and residents participate in the spiritual exercise, the State Government has declared Tuesday, 2nd January as public holiday.
To this end, His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, cordially invites all well-meaning citizens of the State, including top government officials, the political class, senior citizens, the business community, royal fathers, clerics, the women, youths, students, and indeed the entire people of Akwa Ibom State to the solemn occasion.
The service which will be led by several ministers of God will feature praise and worship, word ministration, and intercession for sustained peace, prosperity and development of the State.
