… Celebrates Former Dep Gov at 82
The immediate past Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Moses Ekpo has extolled the unifying leadership spirit of the Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong.
He said the laudable leadership virtue is exemplified in the family bond and love cultivated amongst staff of the Minsitry which radiate to their past political heads, who they celebrate without fail on their birthdays and other special occasions.
Mr. Moses Ekpo gave the commendation over the weekend, when the State Information helmsman, led the management and staff of the Ministry to the country home of the former Deputy Governor in Abak LGA to pay him a birthday visit.
The former Deputy Governor who said he wasn’t surprised at the birthday visit by Comrade Ini Ememobong and his team, since it has become his customary practice, urged staff of the Ministry to imbibe the unifying virtues of the Commissioner.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong had said, the Ministry could not fail to celebrate the birthday of the Pioneer Commissioner of the Ministry of Information in the State, Mr. Moses Ekpo and thanked him for making out time to receive him and staff of the Ministry.
Comrade Ini Ememobong who apologised on the absence of the Permanent Secretary who he said was representing him at an official engagement, wished the former Deputy Governor many more happy years in good health and prosperity.
The visit which witnessed the presentation of birthday card and gifts to the celebrator, amidst birthday chants was attended by the Director, Information, Mrs Blessing Urua, Director, Public Relations, Mrs Grace Akpan, Director, Archives, Dr Eunice Egharevba and Assistant Director, Information, Mrs Glory Ekpo.
Others were: the Vice Chairman, Ini LGA Transition Committee, Mr. Innocent Udom, Itu LG PDP frontliner, Mr. Ukeme Utuk and Information Officers in the Ministry, among others.
