Cross River Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu has approved an extended 14 days holiday for Christmas, Carnival Calabar and New Year celebrations for civil servants in the state.
A statement on Tuesday, December 19, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Emmanuel Ogbeche said the Governor in appreciation of the commitment and hard work of civil servants approved December 20 to January 2, 2024 as holidays except for those on essential duties.
Governor Otu enjoined the civil servants to use the opportunity to spend quality time with their families while also being actively involved in the Carnival Calabar.
The Governor reiterated the commitment of his administration in providing quality and conducive environment for all citizens and residents of the state, while wishing them a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
