The adage: “Who you are, is who you will be” is manifestly seen in the life of this enviable Leader. Governor Umo Eno is not only meticulous, easy-going and people-oriented as a governor of Akwa Ibom State but also his leadership mien shows that he is not power drunk. He constantly roots for people to live without strive, tantrums, blackmail and discord, showing these virtues by examples. Governor Umo Eno is unity, peace and collaboration rolled into one.
Power does not humble a man but it amplifies him. Power is different from powder, powder beautified a man. power amplifies who you are. Although power and powder sound virtually alike, they are at variance in meaning. Politics has three elements: money, connection and power. These elements are used judiciously for the overall benefits of the state. Is it money? Gratuities of retired civil servants have been paid. These are done in batches, and the governor in his determination will pay until all are paid. Is it connection? He has it in abundance, and has not abused it. He still takes calls from his associates whom he knew before he was elected as governor of Akwa Ibom State. Is it power? He is already in charge, yet he has neither abused it nor recruited petty internet jobbers to insult his political opponents.
