The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has extended its congratulations to Bishop Wale Oke on his re-election as the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, during the 18th Biennial Conference held in Abuja on February 11, 2025.

In a statement issued by CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, the association described Bishop Oke’s re-election as a testament to the confidence and trust vested in him by PFN members.

“Bishop Oke has proven himself to be a humble and approachable leader qualities I have personally observed and appreciated over the years. His tenure has been marked by significant strides in uniting Pentecostal churches, fostering spiritual growth, and engaging in national discourse on moral and ethical issues,” Archbishop Okoh stated.

The CAN President further commended Bishop Oke’s contributions to strengthening the Christian community in Nigeria, highlighting his unwavering support for CAN’s mission and his role in advancing interfaith dialogue, social justice, and humanitarian initiatives.

“Looking ahead, we anticipate Bishop Oke’s continued commitment to providing spiritual guidance, enhancing interfaith relations for peace and mutual respect, and driving impactful church initiatives in education and humanitarian services,” he added.

Reaffirming CAN’s support for PFN under Bishop Oke’s leadership, Archbishop Okoh urged the Christian community to rally behind him, offering prayers for wisdom, strength, and health as he embarks on his new term.

“His re-election comes at a crucial time, reaffirming our collective resolve to uphold Christian values in public life. Let us stand together in unity and faith as we work toward a more vibrant and impactful Christian presence in our nation,” he said.
