As the Speaker of the Eight Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Udeme Otong and Members of the State House of Assembly celebrate their First Legislative Year today, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has sent his hearty message of felicitation.
In a goodwill message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno celebrated, “the robust collaboration that has existed between the Executive and the Legislative arms of government.
“In the past one year, the House under your leadership has cooperated with us, as a reliable partner in our determined efforts to continue to bring development to our state, especially in the rural areas.
“You have worked expeditiously to pass people – centric bills to advance our growth and development in line with our ARISE Agenda which today, have become laws. I want to commend the House too, for passing our 2024 Budget in a record time.
“We came to serve the people of Akwa Ibom State and deepen the narratives of our development. As you commence your Second Legislative Year, I know we, in the Executive Arm, can always count on you to continue on this path of robust partnership in the service of our dear State and our people. That is what they elected us to do, and together we will continue to Arise and serve them diligently.”
