The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), on Friday, extended the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course in Sokoto and Niger states due to ongoing renovation works at the orientation camps.

In a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme said the extension followed renovation projects being carried out by the respective state governments.

In furtherance to the above, the new date for the commencement of the Orientation Course is Wednesday 12th August, while the Cut-Off/Swearing-in Ceremony date is Friday 14th August, and Closing Ceremony holds on Tuesday 1st September, 2026.

The NYSC advised all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) deployed to the two states to take note of the revised dates and avoid embarking on night journeys to their orientation camps.

The Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu wishes all PCMs safe travels to their Orientation Camps.
