The Chief Security Officer, CSO, to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Besta Sini, has been honoured as the “Nigeria Best Executive Close Protection Officer in West and Central Africa for 2025” at the 19th Security Watch Africa Conference and Awards held in Banjul, The Gambia.
The prestigious recognition came during the continental security conference, which celebrated outstanding contributions to security, leadership, and public service across Africa.
At the same event, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, received the African Leader in People-Centric Governance Award.
The recognitions received in Banjul further reinforce Akwa Ibom State’s growing reputation for effective governance, security, and people-centred development, while CSP Besta Sini’s award underscores the professionalism and excellence of the Governor’s security team.
