A nationwide Volunteers’ Group initiative aimed at rallying support for the reform agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been launched under the banner of the PBAT 4+4 Movement, a platform designed to mobilize Nigerians across communities and professional sectors in backing the administration’s policies and development programmes.

The movement, unveiled as a grassroots civic engagement initiative, seeks to build a broad coalition of patriotic citizens committed to promoting national transformation, economic reform and sustainable development under the leadership of President Tinubu.

According to the movement’s promoter, Dr. Fred Femi Akinfala, the 4+4 Movement will operate as a nationwide mobilisation platform that encourages citizens to actively support the government’s Renewed Hope 2027 Agenda while also amplifying the achievements and policy directions of the current administration.

He said the initiative will focus on engaging Nigerians across all 774 local government areas, institutions and professional groups with the goal of fostering participation in national development efforts and strengthening public backing for the administration’s reform programmes.

Operating under the motto: “Hope Renewed, Nigeria Rising,” the movement envisions building a resilient national citizens’ coalition capable of championing transformational leadership and contributing meaningfully to the progress and prosperity of Nigeria.
Its mission, according to the founders, is to mobilize patriotic Nigerians across communities and sectors to support the Renewed Hope agenda while promoting awareness of the administration’s policies and achievements.

The group also outlined a set of core values it says will shape its operations and engagement with citizens. These include patriotism, which places Nigeria’s national interest above personal or sectional considerations; integrity, emphasising honesty and transparency in all activities; unity, promoting peace and cooperation among Nigerians; and service, which underscores the importance of selfless contribution to society.

He said the 4+4 Movement is therefore inviting citizens across the country to play an active role in promoting hope, defending progress and supporting reforms aimed at building a stronger and more prosperous nation.

According to him, the initiative is anchored on the belief that collective citizen participation will be critical to sustaining the reform momentum and achieving the broader vision of national transformation.

“With unity of purpose and patriotic commitment, Nigerians can advance progress, strengthen national cohesion and build the country of their dreams,” he said.

The movement concluded its launch message with a call for citizens across the country to join the initiative and support efforts aimed at promoting hope, defending progress and contributing to Nigeria’s continued rise.
