The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has announced the recruitment exercise for 2025/2026.
This was conveyed in a Press Release issued by The Spokesperson of The Command, DSP Timfon John on behalf of The State Police Commissioner, SP Baba Mohammed Azare in Uyo on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

According to The Release, the exercise is for applicants who had applied for recruitment into the Force online and we’re successful. They are to appear for physical screening on March 9, from 7am to 5pm at The Command Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia.
“The Akwa Ibom State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that The Nigeria Police Service Commission Recruitment Board calls on all candidates who were successfully invited after completing the online registration for the 2025/2026 recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constable for Physical/Credential Screening.
The exercise which is strictly for Akwa Ibom State indigenes is scheduled to be held from 9th March, 2026 to 18th April, 2026. 7am to 5pm daily, at State Command Headquarters Uyo.
All applicants are to appear in a clean white T-shirt and short with the following mandatory screening requirement re-arranged in two white flat files at the center.
i. Recent passport-size photographs (2-copies)
ii. Evidence of Physical/Mental fitness from a government recognized Medical Hospital
iii. Evidence of good character from traditional ruler or village/District head of the applicant
iv. Certificate of Origin duly signed by the local government chairman or the secretary of their local government council
v. Original and duplicates of National Identity Number (NIN)– Slip print-out
vi. Original and duplicate copies of credentials – O’ level results
vii. Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
viii. Printout of application form
ix. Duly completed Guarantors form
x. Invitation slip
Any candidate who fails to present the items (I–X) mentioned in paragraph 3 above will not be considered for screening.
