The Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom, Senator (Dr)Akon Eyakenyi, has praised Governor Umo Eno for what she termed “life-touching projects” in Oron, stating that his efforts have “wiped away the tears of Oro people.”
She made the remarks on Tuesday during the inauguration of officers for the Oron Local Government Chapter of the ARISE with Renewed Hope Initiative at the Oro Civic Center.

Eyakenyi highlighted key projects such as the delivery of two ferries, the near-completion of the Oron Beach, and the Nsit Atai/Okobo/Oron Road as evidence of the Governor’s commitment to fulfilling campaign promises to Oro Nation.
She congratulated the newly inaugurated officers, especially indigenes of Oron Local Government Area serving at national and international levels within the organization, and commended the Chairman, Oron Local Government Council, Chief Asuquo Enweme, for promoting peace and mobilizing residents for voter and NIN registration.

That’s the reason Oron is occupying the second position in the INEC registration,” she stated.

She affirmed support for second terms for President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno, and also commended Hon. Martins Esin, Member representing Oron Federal Constituency, urging him to continue his good work.
