Ibom Air has been honoured with the Corporate Impact Award by the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Akwa Ibom chapter, for advancing cancer care initiatives within the state.

The airline was also recognised for “exceptional leadership and distinguished corporate citizenship.”

The honour was conferred during the investiture ceremony of the 17th President of the MWAN, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, held in Uyo.

The award recognises Ibom Air’s steadfast commitment to health as one of the core pillars of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.

In addition, Ibom Air was conferred with the Founding Patron Award for the MWAN Cancer Treatment Endowment Fund, which supports treatment and hope for indigent patients, thereby strengthening the collective impact and restoring dignity to countless lives.

Beyond its contributions to cancer awareness and treatment, the airline continues to drive impactful health programmes, including its signature initiative to fight malaria in pregnant women and children, as well as supporting free open-heart surgeries for children since 2019, from Akwa Ibom and beyond.

Receiving the award on behalf of the airline, the Group Manager, Corporate Services, Mrs Imelda Aba, expressed delight and reaffirmed commitment to its Corporate Social Responsibility goals.
