Abba Atiku, a son of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has declared that President Bola Tinubu cannot be defeated in the 2027 presidential election.
Abba, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress, made the assertion on Monday in Yola, Adamawa State, after receiving his APC membership card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area.
He said his decision to join the ruling party was influenced by what he described as the wide-ranging economic and human development reforms being implemented by the Tinubu administration.
According to him, Nigerians have had enough time to assess the president’s policies and leadership style, which he said cut across ethnic and religious lines.
Abba noted that appointments under Tinubu were based on competence rather than regional or religious considerations, adding that this had strengthened national confidence in the government.
He also pointed to ongoing infrastructural development and investments in human capital as reasons the president deserved another term.
The APC chieftain urged Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu beyond party affiliations to enable him to consolidate on what he called the gains of the current administration.
