To commemorate the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, the Akwa Ibom State Government has unveiled a far-reaching welfare initiative aimed at providing sustainable livelihoods for families of fallen security personnel.
As part of the commitment, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, announced plans to construct one hundred lock-up stores for widows of fallen military personnel, and fifty lock-up stores for widows of fallen police officers and other security operatives, bringing the total number of stores to one hundred and fifty.
