The Akwa Ibom State Government is set to host the 2025 Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival as part of activities marking the Christmas season in the state.
The annual festival, themed Divine Visitation and anchored on Luke 1:68, is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Amphitheatre along Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo.
The programme which is expected to commence at 7pm will bring together worshippers, choirs and gospel music enthusiasts from across the state and beyond.
The Christmas Carols Festival has over the years become a major spiritual and cultural highlight of the season in Akwa Ibom, providing a platform for collective worship, thanksgiving and reflection on the message of Christmas.
Through songs of praise and adoration, the event reinforces the values of unity, hope and gratitude that define the season.
The theme of this year’s event, “Divine Visitation” reflects the Governor’s belief in God’s abiding presence and guidance in the affairs of the state, while offering citizens an opportunity to seek spiritual renewal as the year draws to a close.
The event will be broadcast live on major television platforms including DSTV Channel 198, TVC News, ADBN and AKBC.
In addition, several radio stations such as Comfort FM, Passion FM, Tangsio FM, XL FM, Premium FM, Atlantic FM, Inspiration FM, Memories FM, Redemption FM, Mixx FM, AKBC Radio, Planet FM and Heritage FM will carry live transmissions of the programme.
Residents of Akwa Ibom State and visitors are encouraged to attend the festival or tune in via the various broadcast channels to participate in what promises to be a night of worship, celebration and reflection in the true spirit of Christmas.
