Two PDP Govs Defect, Fubara Joins APC, Adeleke Moves To Accord Party

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Until his defection, Mr Fubara was one of the governors elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

He announced the defection at a stakeholders meeting held at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, December 9.

The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke also on Tuesday, December 9, officially joined Accord Party, with all his cabinet members.

The Governor made the declaration at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.

He was received into the party by the National Chairman of Accord, Barr. Maxwell Ngbudem who led other members of the National Working Committee to receive the Governor.

The Chairman noted that the event is only to unveil the Governor and present him his membership card after he has joined the party since November 6, 2025.
