The United States, US, Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth on Sunday, November 2, confirmed the department was planning for action against Islamic jihadists in Nigeria.
Hegseth, said his department is preparing for possible military action in Nigeria.

His confirmation followed President Donald Trump’s threat to deploy troops into Nigeria “gun-a-blazing” if the Federal Government fails to put an end to what he termed genocide against Christians.

Reacting to Trump’s warning which he shared on X, Hegseth wrote: “Yes sir! The killing of innocent Christians in Nigeria — and anywhere — must end immediately. “The Department of War is preparing for action. Either the Nigerian Government protects Christians, or we will kill the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.”
