The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State, CP Baba Mohammad has urged all law enforcement agencies to always notify and synergize with the Police as the lead security agency in the state when carrying out operations within the Police’s Area of Responsibility, AOR, to prevent mix ups.
The CP said this in Press Release dated October 26, 2025 and issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Timfon John in Uyo.
CP Azare also commended the officers involved in an operation in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area for their professional conduct and restraint, which averted a potential ugly incident with the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, while responding to a distress call on October 24, 2025 alleging an armed robbery operation at Ikot Uboh Village.
Finally, the release stated that the “Command is resolute in its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors in Akwa Ibom State.”
