The Akwa Ibom State Project Coordinator of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, AKS-RAAMP, Pastor Gideon Cephas Akpan is to be conferred as Fellow of the Nigeria Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment, NAEGE today, at a Fellowship Award Night organized as part of the 10th International Conference and Exhibition of the association currently holding at the Tayo Adenirokun Auditorium, University of Lagos Guest House and Conference Centre, tagged EKO 2025.
National President of NAEGE, Dr. Walid Adeolu made the announcement yesterday, during the official opening ceremony of the conference, pointing out that his executive committee had endorsed the award unanimously “in recognition of Pastor Akpan’s outstanding and excellent performance in the Engineering Geology profession, Project Management, Environmental Safeguards and Sociology of Infrastructure and Human Development.”
Pastor Akpan is also a Fellow, Nigerian Institution of Highway and Transportation Engineers, FNIHTE as well as Fellow, Corporate Administration Institute, FCAI.
On his support for youth development, guidance and counseling, the AKS-RAAMP boss has trained and mentored numerous young professionals, career Geologists, Geoscientists and Engineering Geologists, who are currently practicing successfully in their preferred disciplines of choice.
He is a Field Evangelist as an Area Superintendent in The Apostolic Church, Nigeria and the Etinan Field Council Secretary in Akwa Ibom State; married with three children and adopted more than 15 students, currently studying in various institutions across the country.
Pastor Akpan is also the Director General, Akwa Ibom State Rural Access Roads Agency, RARA and Director, Water Resources in the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, where he is covering duties for the Permanent Secretary.
Meanwhile, the State Project Implementation Unit, SPIU and staff of AKS-RAAMP has felicitated Pastor Gideon Akpan on the conferment, describing same as a well-deserved honour not only to their boss as an individual but the project at large.
The message prayed God to sustain His favour and blessings upon him in the discharge of his duties – in AKS-RAAMP, career profession and the Lord’s vineyard.
