Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has fired back at the Department of State Services (DSS) after the secret police gave him a one-week ultimatum to retract his social media post criticising President Bola Tinubu.

Responding via X, the former presidential candidate mocked the DSS deadline, insisting he would never delete his words.

“Even if you @OfficialDSSNG give me till the end of Tinubu’s tenure in 2027, I will NOT withdraw my statement (for I believe his tenure shall not go beyond on or before 2027),” Sowore wrote.

Sowore had earlier branded Tinubu a criminal and accused him of deceiving Nigerians by claiming corruption no longer exists under his administration.

The DSS had described Sowore’s post as “false, malicious, and inciting,” warning it could threaten national security.
