The Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has described his daughter and Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Lady, Helen Eno-Obareki, as an amazing soul who has dutifully furthered the mother’s legacy.
Speaking at a brief birthday ceremony held at the Patience Hall, in the Governor’s country home, he said it was a pleasure having a daughter who has stepped into her mother’s role effortlessly and was successfully discharging the responsibilities of the office.
He commended her for balancing her family responsibilities and the demands of the office.
The Governor who had earlier issued a message of felicitation through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ekerette Udoh, said he was not surprised by her ability to manage the responsibilities given the mentorship she received from her mother.
While praying for her on this august occasion, he urged Mrs Obareki to remain focused on her assigned roles so as to achieve great success.
Spouse of the celebrator, Elder Onoriode Obareki appreciated his wife for seamlessly combining the family demands and her official responsibilities.
He also appreciated the Governor for entrusting her with the responsibility of furthering on the mother’s legacy.
In his birthday message, Pastor Ebong Eno on behalf of the family described the celebrator as a unique sister who is in a class of her own. He said the family was proud of her achievements and urged her to keep the fire burning.
On his part, the MD of Hensek Integrated Services, Engr. Uwem Okoko also expressed delight on how well she has performed and wished Mrs Obareki a happy birthday.
In their separate birthday messages at the event, the women of Akwa Ibom led by the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Inibehe Silas and staff of the office of the First Lady led by the Press Secretary, Mrs Uduak Ekong appreciated the celebrator for being a mother to all and appreciated God in words and songs for His grace upon her life.
Responding, the celebrator, Lady Helen Obareki appreciated the Governor for his support which, according to her, has enabled her to carry on with her responsibilities.
She also appreciated the men, women and everyone who joined her in the celebration, as well as those who celebrated her through different media platforms.
Highpoints of the event were the cutting of well decorated birthday cakes and special song presentation to mark the event.
