The Akwa Ibom State Sports Festival has been scheduled to hold from September 8 to 13, 2025.
Ahead of the event, the State Organizing Committee, led by Elder Paul Bassey, Commissioner for Sports, today, August 22, briefed the 31 Local Government Chairmen on preparations. The session took place at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
In attendance were the Commissioner for Local Government, Hon. Frank Archibong; Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Umanah; Commissioner for Youth, Dr. Ekerette Ekanem; Political Advisers, Barr. Kufre Udosen and Prince Godwin Ntukude; as well as the ALGON Chairman, Dr. Uwemedimo Udoh, who led the council chairmen.
